BUCAS GRANDE ISLANDS, SURIGAO DEL NORTE

A lot of people don't know that besides Palau, the Philippines is also home to Stingless jellyfish. As a pre-summer thing, my friend and I decided to travel to Surigao del Norte, late in February, where said jellyfish can be found.The jellyfish sanctuary can be found within Bucas Grande, which is a group of islands 1 hour boat ride away from Surigao City.

Aside from the jellyfish, there's a lot to see around Bucas Grande. Most of the bigger Islands have resorts where you can stay but during our trip we decided to just tour the islands for a day. My favorite island was Cinnamon island which is known for it's cinnamon trees.

After a whole day of Island hopping, we decided to make Cinnamon island our last stop and spent the afternoon drinking cinnamon tea.
